What do you charge artists?
Nothing. Whether a creator of merchandise, painter, or photographer, we are happy to display your art and amplify the voice of a local creator. 100% of the profits for each sale will go directly to you.
What kind of art will you display?
We welcome all kinds of displayable, retail art. We see canvas prints, originals, framed photography, jewelry, soaps, candles, bones, stickers, and more. We are open to most anything that can hang on the wall or fit on a shelf as long as it was made by a local artist.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you process art payments?
Patrons that buy your art will pay you directly. You Cashapp, Paypal, or Venmo will be listed in the salon for prompt payout.
What’s in it for you?
Nothing monetary. We get joy out of filling our walls with locally created art and merch. Getting sales for you is a bonus! At the end of every quarter, we tally the art sales and match 15% in donation to the LGBTQ+ Center of Durham.
How long do you display the art?
Our standard residency is 6 months, but you can also opt for a 3 month residency. You’re welcome to come in and change out your art periodically as well!
